Team Germany battling for the qualification to the Finals and the Olympic Games
Already on the first day of the World Gymnastics Championships the german women will enter the competition. Part of the german team will be Sarah Voss, Sophie Scheder, Elisabeth Seitz, Emelie Petz and Kim Bui.
Also, the belgian team will start its competition on the first day of the Championships. Member of the team from Belgium and reigning World Champion on uneven bars Nina Derwael hopes to qualify for the apparatus finals to bring home another medal on uneven bars.
The qualifying rounds are not only about entering the finals but also about the qualification for the Olympic Games. Only the best twelve teams of the 2019 World Gymnastics Championships will make it to Tokyo 2020.
Placings of the qualifying competitions:
- Top 12 teams qualify for the Olympic Games
- Top 8 teams qualify for the Team Final
- Top 24 gymnasts on all apparatus qualify for the all-around finals
- Top 8 gymnasts per apparatus qualify for the apparatus finals on vault, bars, beam and floor
